Come out for a fun run on September 23, 2012 and be part of a life changing project for thousands of young eager-to-learn minds in Ethiopia!!   This year, the Ethiopia Project is expanding its mission by holding a charitable run to raise money to build a new high school science laboratory at the Fassiledes High School in the city of Gondar, Ethiopia.   The existing science laboratory is partially collapsed and unusable due to safety concerns.  The Run Your Shoes Off event is a 5k/10k run or walk on a nice, flat trail in the beautiful Greenway Park in Beaverton, Oregon.  As participants approach the finish line, those that would like to donate their gently used running shoes, can drop them into bins at the finish line.

On-line registration for the Run Your Shoes off event is $30 up until September 21, 2012.  After September 21, day of event registration will be $40.  The first 100 registrants will receive a t-shirt that shows their support for this wonderful cause – sizing is limited, so first come first serve!  All registrants will receive a $15 gift certificate from Fit Right NW running store!  If you are interested in helping to support the Ethiopia Project embark on this worthwhile cause, please register for the run at http://www.signmeup.com/84431
